Obituary for Wray Edward Hamilton
Wray Edward Hamilton, of Tillsonburg and formerly of London passed away at the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday, September 19, 2004 in his 84th year. Wray was born in Annabel Township and a son of the late James and Evelyn (McKellar) Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton was a veteran of WW II serving with Hastings & Prince Edward Regiment, Peterborough as well as R. C. A. P. C. regular forces before retiring in 1968. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Sinclair) Wilson. Devoted father of Patricia Hutcheon and her husband Terry of Kingston, Catherine Walmsley and her husband David of Sudbury, and Ian Hamilton and his friend Colleen Woods of Toronto. Sadly missed by his grandchildren; Evelyn & William Walmsley, Shawn & Adrian Connerty, and a great grand-daughter Victoria Walmsley. Survived by a brother Stewart Hamilton and his wife Gloria of Toronto. Predeceased by 3 step-brothers; Harold, Ronald and Stanley Rourke. Mr. Hamiltons family will receive friends at the Ostranders Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St., Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Service, Branch #53, Tillsonburg will be conducted on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church, Tillsonburg with Rev. Gary Shuttleworth officiating. Interment will take place on Friday, September 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Zion Amabel Cemetery, Hepworth, ON.
