Lila McKay of Chesley, peacefully with her family by her side at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Saturday, March 11, 2017 in her 81st year.
Beloved mother of Debbie Smith of Newmarket and Penny Hampton (John Crawford) of Chesley. Cherished grandmother of Chris Elder, Darryl (Leanne) Hampton, LeeAnn Hampton, Marcy (Jeff) Kerr and Adam Smith and great-grandmother of Ethan, Avary, Kyle, Esme, Olive, Claire and William. Lila will be sadly missed by her in-laws Marg (Wayne) McNabb and Aileen (Francis) Wheildon as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Brownlee Cain (1971), second husband Murray McKay (1988), special friend Alex Strang, son-in-law Lloyd Smith, sister Florence (Alex) Hastings and her parents Clarence and Esther (Rusk) Baker.
Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12 noon. Spring inurnment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Chesley Horticultural Society or Chesley Hospital Auxiliary as these organizations were near and dear to Lila.
